We at Hickory Museum of Art are looking for additions to our outstanding group of individual volunteers! There are many ways to become involved and create an atmosphere of creativity and excitement. Scheduling is no problem. Make a commitment of hours, days, weeks per month that you are willing to spend with us. Let us know your area of expertise and we'll place you in the area that best suits you. Or better yet, choose for yourself the project area(s) where you would like to help. The following is a list of volunteer opportunities:

	Educators / Education Assistants - We need volunteers to work with our Education Department assisting with art classes and summer art camps.
	Mailing Team - From time to time we need volunteers to help prepare extensive mailings to our members. Mailings are processed on Mondays and/or Tuesdays.
	Docents - An organization of volunteer educators who lead guided tours and in-gallery lessons of the Museum's permanent collection and special exhibitions. Docents are extensively trained in general art history, putting our collection in historical context, and teaching art to diverse audiences of all age groups.
	Librarian - Individual or group of devoted volunteers to update and improve the overall appearance of our library.
	Receptionist - Individual(s) who are familiar with multiple-line phone systems and are willing to help as needed with administrative tasks.
	HMA Galleria Salesperson - Individual(s) who are interested and willing to work in our Museum Shop during regular Museum hours performing merchandise sales, gift-wrapping as requested and some merchandise arranging.
	Nail & Patch - Individual(s) who are able and willing to patch and paint walls between exhibitions and work closely with the Gallery Manager to hang new exhibitions.
